Recently, I had a little bit of a setback. My computer decided to go on the fritz.
In the middle of working, just shut down. It's allowed me to open it up for a little while, but then it would shut down again.
As time went on it progressively got worse. It got to a point where I could no longer start the computer.
As you could possibly imagine, this became extremely frustrating.
The frustration was exasperated by the fact that I need my computer to make money online.
Back in 2020, I started a YouTube channel called product creation formula.
Within the first 12 months of running that channel, It became monetized.
Since then I have made nearly $4000 in revenue from my YouTube channel alone, that is not including affiliate marketing money as well.
In total my channel has made me around $6000.
In the past I would have given up throwing my hands up in the air and said that's it I can't do this anymore.
But that isn't the case anymore. Developing a steely determination is something that is developed over time. In the past it was hard for me too Keep going when setbacks happen.
I was one of these people that gave up very easily once circumstances became too hard. But since then I have developed a determination that I have never had in the past.
I can see a road to success, And I can see a way forward from here. I now believe that I can become successful, and I can move forward into the future knowing that even this little setback isn't going to hold me back from succeeding online.
Being weak willed is a short road to failure. Consistency and determination along with the desire to succeed and a determination to move in the direction of success is going to make me successful.
I'm no longer going to settle For mediocrity.
Success comes from putting one foot in front of the other.
Moving forward is the key to success but careful planning along the way will keep you there.
Constantly reassessing your values and your goals will keep you on track and allow you to reevaluate and resources if you need to.
So How do I continue going even though my computer is in getting fixed?
This is simply done by the fact that I can now use my iPad to create text, And place into my blog post.
This morning I found myself pacing backwards and forwards because I didn't know what to do, I felt lost without my computer and I started wondering how I'm going to create my video or continue with my business.
I could sense My old defeated self beginning to creep back in.
But instead of giving up, I decided that I would put strategies in place in case this sort of thing ever happens again.
100% Reliant on the Internet
Because my business is 100% Reliant on my computer, I have decided that I will use my tablets and my iPad until I get it back.
Once I get my computer back I will consider buying a second computer in case this ever happens again, I will have a back up allowing me to continue my work unhindered.
In the past I would have given up throwing my hands up in the air Waiting for my computer to come back after being repaired. I would have lost momentum and motivation.
But not anymore. I know that there are ways around this in the meantime. Even though I am not making any YouTube videos right now, I can still put things in the community tab section which still brings in views and subscribers.
I can also continue to promote some of my older more popular videos which will then allow me to get more views and more subscribers to my channel.
The more subscribers I get the more potential views I will get.
So continuing to do things that will allow me to grow my channel will only boost my chances of succeeding online.
Success is based on careful planning determination in the world and a desire to move forward while taking action in the process.
Action.
Without action nothing will get done, and you will be bound for failure.
Often fear is the base emotion that holds people back from taking action.
People can sometimes have a fear of failure along with a fear of success.
The fear of failure is based on a lack of self-esteem, we're a person feels inadequate, and believes they need to be perfect to achieve what they want to do.
Fear of success on the other hand, is based on the belief that success requires a lot of hard work and determination to maintain the level of success you are at, and a desire to grow that success becoming even more work and more work to maintain that success. A fear of success really is based on laziness . Well that was my experience anyway.
I used to have this foolish notion that if I became successful I would be a constant slave to my success, And therefore not able to enjoy my life because I am always striving for success.
Praise God I no longer have that foolish mindset.
Now I am aware that success breeds success and the more successful I become, the easier it will be to maintain it and to grow it.
Now remember whether it is a fear of success or a fear of failure, it is all based on fear.
Courageous living.
Living a life of courage it's not living a life without fear, it is pushing past the fear and doing it anyway.
Fear of money.
Sometimes people live in a fear of money, and this can hold them back from any real success.
Sadly some people believe that living in poverty means that you are a righteous person.
They believe it is the pathway to heaven, due to certain scriptures that are in the Bible
This is a misinterpretation of what the Bible says about money.
The Bible does not say that money is the root of all evil, it says the love of money is the root of all evil.
The scripture That says it is easier for a camel to pass through an eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into Heaven.
If you stopped at this part of the verse then you are misinterpreting the entire verse it needs to be seen in its entirety.
You need to read the entire verse in context,. If you continue reading the verse you will see one of the disciples asked Jesus “who then can enter into heaven?” Jesus then replies “with man it is not possible, But with God all things are possible.”
But for God all things are possible.
You see I was raised in a catholic church when I was a kid and this was a very prominent teaching in the church.
It wasn’t until I grew up and became a Christian and read the Scriptures for myself that I understood the truth of the passage.
Fear is one of the biggest hindrances to your success. If you want to become successful then push past the fear and do it anyway. As Joice Meyers says, “Do it scared”. This means even if you feel scared, do it anyway. It gets easier as time goes on.
